Before you get a dog, you can’t quite imagine what living with one might be like; afterward, you can’t imagine living any other way.
— CAROLINE KNAPP

We love to travel with our dog, especially to Maine where you do all kinds of things dogs love, like hike, play in water and eat good food.

We do not love the arduous process of finding dog-friendly vacation rentals, or being relegated to “select rooms.” We assume you feel the same way.

We welcome well-behaved dogs at Olla House. Well-behaved means: they won’t eat the couch while you pick up dinner, are potty-trained, and follow your commands.

Here’s what you’ll find for your canine family members at Olla House:

  • beds

  • bowls

  • extra leash

  • flashlight for nighttime potty breaks

  • poop bags

  • kennel

  • dog blankets

  • toys

  • towels for wiping muddy paws

  • doggy first aid kit

A few other things:

  • we don’t charge a pet fee

  • the yard is not fenced in

  • we ask that you leash your dog for potty breaks due to area wildlife and neighbors on walks who may not love your wonderful companion as much as you do

  • please, use the poop bags we provide, and once full throw them into the outside trash can

  • there are tons of dog-friendly trails in the area - click here for more info.

  • in general: help us keep welcoming wet-nosed, goofy guests to Olla House by being the wonderful dog parents that you are.
